3I can’t imagine the Royals would be good with this trade, but if they are I would hope the Rays would take it (even with Melendez in it, who adds nothing in my opinion).
I think a 3rd team sending an Outfielder that can bat in the top 5 and not be to much more expensive then that could push this trade through, any ideas?
I saw your Adell trade, and Royals fans seem ok with that. He's just a platoon bat though, and it seems like the Royals really need an everyday bat for their outfield. Aroz could be that bat, but the Rays would probably want close to $20MM in trade value to move him. Of teams guaranteed to sell at the deadline, the White Sox (Pham, Robert), Marlins (Jazz, De La Cruz), Angels (Ward), and A's (Rooker, Bleday) all have decent every day outfield options, but none will come super cheap (other than Pham, who the Royals may not want for their young team).
