10 days before Thanksgiving trade. Dombrowski would really like to get Suarez extended but is facing a salary crunch so he elects to trade him instead and gets a very nice return from the Red Sox who buy out his last remaining arbitration year and get him signed to a 5yr $140m before going to arbitration. Phillies also get a PTBNL - SP Brendan Cellucci - who the Red Sox elect not to protect from the rule 5 draft but the Phillies do.
