3Why would Cleveland, who needs hitting trade their current 4th and 5th guy in the lineup, for a pitcher who can't make their AA and a decent 1B/OF but definitely it's a 30/100 guy...
I think the idea would be CLE trading two pricy-ish players in their last year of team control for a Long-Term, potential OF solution in Loperfido.
Cleveland traded three solid prospects to get Thomas... They needed his bat for this playoff run... I could see Cleveland trading Naylor for Loperfido plus one, but Cleveland is not trading Naylor unless they get a major overpay... I don't get why people believe Cleveland is trying to dump salary when the GM stated last season, they had room in the budget and have 30+ million off the books already from last season... Cleveland is going to try and get Naylor, Thomas, Kwan, Bibee all extended...
