7As a Yankee fan I'd sign up for this, but I'm curious if a Cards fan would.
I'm neither a fan of the Yankees or Cards but can see the benefits for both. Cards get a nice young player for their rebuild and Yankees get their 3rd base upgrade and LH outfielder who can handle CF. Move Judge back to RF, let Soto walk and get a draft pick and sign some pitching. Maybe Snell and Scott
What does this do to the Yank’s cap? Seems the Cards take a step back losing Nootbar just to off load Arenado contract?
I thought the Cards were doing a reset and putting more money into development. Can anyone confirm?
Based on the Scott and Hoeing deal (Snelling, Mazur, Pauley, and Beshears), Dominguez would be a deeply disappointing return for Helsley by himself, let alone including Nootbaar. Cardinals will hold out for much, much better deal than this
Feels like Nootbar is way overvalued here
The Yankees would only make this move if they lost out on Soto. But I do agree they need some way to get Judge out of center.
