2I suppose it’s possible after the Red Sox sign Soto & Snell, I would be opposed 👎. I think the Mariners pass and keep their SP’s in tact. Gilbert for a 3B with similar value may make them think twice. Cora absolutely loves Duran so I doubt he’s moved. I think a trade of any player from the 40 man or active roster has to be considered with a caveat of how Cora feels and views that player. Cora views and has identified Duran as a team and clubhouse leader and has been grooming him to be in that role. He (Cora) holds more power then people realize I think.
Yeah, I can't see Seattle trading Gilbert with 3 years of control left, Dajuba's right maybe for Jackson Holiday or Witt Jr, but short of that...
