The Astros move massive salary off their books and send the Red Sox 2 rentals in Outfielder Tucker & SP Valdez plus they send RP Hader with his remaining 4yrs $75m along with $15m in cash. The Red Sox send the White Sox prized prospect Marcelo Mayer.
Red Sox miss out on Soto & Snell so they sign SP Eovaldi 2yrs $50m with a team option and then get Kyle Tucker signed to a 10yr $400m extension & Framber Valdez to a 4yr $120m extension before the end of spring training.
