Twins move salary & get younger, Rays add a bat and back up Catcher, Athletics get a 3B & a utility player for the Major League Club.
The A's would need a utility player that could cover 3B for the 80 or so games Royce Lewis is going to miss.
I guess this trade improves the Rays but swapping 2 years of Lowe for 2 years of Jeffers doesn’t move the needle on getting the Rays to the playoffs. I’d prefer the Rays trade Lowe for prospects and sign a catcher off the scrap heap.
