4Before Crochet goes to arbitration the Cubs buy out his last 2 arbitration years and get him signed to a 7yr deal paying him $5m, $10m, $35m, opt out, $35m, opt out, $35m, $35m, $35m (he also receives a $5m signing bonus)
Shaw is untouchable and I don't think the Cubs should be selling "high" on Cam Smith when he's still in AA. Also Hodge is really solid and could be the Cubs future closer, and for a surplus of only 4.4, I feel like it's just not worth it for the Cubs. Great for the Sox though.
Worst trade I’ve seen. Shaw or Cam aren’t going anywhere and definitely not for a 2 year rental where the Cubs aren’t winning a World Series
Totally agree with Frank and Star. Shaw is #1 hitting prospect in MiLB, imo. Ballesteros and Smith not far behind.
