This is a fleece Marte is not that bad and Gallen has cy young potential
For perspective on our valuation of Marte: Outside of 2019, he's been a very average player. This past season, he put up only 1.4 fWAR, with average advanced stats. At this point in his career, he's a 2B and a DH only, and as he ages through his contract that will skew more towards DH, so there's little to no defensive value. Further, he has chronic injury issues, which further dent his value. Given all that, our model suggests he's worth roughly $7-$8M per year through the next five years. But he'll be paid handsomely: he's owed $11M in 2023, $13M in 2024, $16M in both 2025 and 2026, and $14M in 2027, with a $3M buyout in 2028 on top of that. He's not terrible, but he's way, way overpaid for what you're realistically getting on the field.
