4This makes no sense for Cleveland... Plus Cleveland would never give up a draft pick for a rental...
Matz does not fit any profile Cleveland looks for
I was just going off the reports that haven been put out there about the Guardians and Tigers looking into Matz and Fedde. I would agree it is more likely that Cleveland would look at Fedde over Matz.
If Cleveland would be trading for Matz... They currently have a full roster so they would have to wait to when Hentges can be moved onto the 60 day IL and Vogt even stated he wants a long man from the pen... Avila being used as a starter in spring to get him stretched out and has done really well in that LR role... My guess is the offer for Matz was more like a lower prospect for Matz plus cash... They would never throw in a draft pick...
