2I would love this deal but I'm not a big Gillen believer though and not as high on Hill as others so I may not be the best judge.

GGH doesn’t have the best stuff, but he has a 4-5 pitch arsenal and good command at age 20. He’s got a very high floor and I expect him to join the rotation one day as a solid #3. He’s the unicorn among Rays pitching prospects, most of whom have elite stuff but poor control. As for Gillen, I’m with you. His injury history is scary and he may not have arm strength to be a viable LF except out of necessity. If he ever plays he’s said to have a great bat. I can’t wait to see for myself… one day. In any event, he was last year’s 1st rounder, so the odds of the Rays trading him this year are close to zero. This trade is a nice idea for filling the Rays perennial hole at catcher, but I suspect the Rays won’t be interested in trading Gillen at all or GGH while he’s in the low minors and doesn’t have the kind of trade value he will have in AA/AAA.
