Down vote for the A's. Petty is very interesting, the rest.... Why did Arroyo miss time at the start of the season?

WrongVerb

Arroyo missed all of last season with a shoulder injury. They eased him back this year, but he's been bumped to AA and is now performing well. Stewart is the one that should excite you the most, as he's the best hitting prospect the Reds have, and probably underrated on this site right now. Mey is ready for the Reds' pen, but they don't have space for him. He projects to be a solid replacement for Miller.

I don't think Mey can hit the side of a barn. Arroyo missed 10 days early in the season and then 3 games last week; is he banged up? Stewart doesn't excite me at all if he can't play 3B well.

I think this is an overpay for Miller. Mey pitched to 3 batters over one inning of work in his debut. He strikeout one and had two groundouts. He threw 10 of 15 pitches for strikes. I have never read that Stewart cannot handle 3B. He has played all but one game there this season (1137 total innings in minors). The other at 2B (390 ttl innings in minors). No errors at either. He has the footwork and hands to play 2b. He is an on-base machine, .392 obp in minors (144/154, bb/k ratio). We works out with Juan Soto and Manny Machado in the offseason. Grove, I think you are looking for excuses not to have Miller dealt?
