3Rays restock and sell high on Aranda. Get 2 top 100 prospects. Isaac and Morgan should be ready next year
I can’t imagine the Rays trading Aranda nor do I think it would be selling high on him. He is arguably the Rays best bat and he’s under control until 2030 (ie: 5 years, not the 4 shown by BTV). He hits lefties and righties well and should be an everyday player, which the incredibly platoon happy Rays appear to (finally) be recognizing. I’d be pissed if they traded him.
I think it's an interesting trade but IMO Ford won't be able to stick at C in mlb and so much of the value of this trade is made up of him catching, also out of the 1,672 trades between the M's and Rays has either side ever made out well from it, for the love of Nick Franklin these two teams should have a 10 year trade ban with each other lol
