1Ryan McMahon can play 1B at an MLB-average level, and he hits well enough for a contending team like the Red Sox. The real gem in return is Perales, Boston's top pitching prospect per MLB. Grissom is a proven MLB player who is doing well at AAA this season, and his arm is adequate for 3B. (Remember, Grissom was acquired straight-up for Chris Sale, Sale's contract paid by Boston.) Yoshida is a good hitter at sea level who would be better in Denver, but there's no room for him with the Red Sox any more with Devers at DH.
