I expect cringe.
On a more serious note... if they're in the mix come July I think Forst will be aggressive. (Possibly stupidly so.) I don't know how much cash he has available for the next 3 years, so I can't tell you if a big ticket like Sandy Alcantara would viable. But if he has the backing from Fisher? Possibly becomes Probably.
Based on their off-season, which I thought was a bit reckless, I feel like you are correct. They won’t spend crazy money but they will be more aggressive than folks probably expect.
