8ππΌββοΈ The Orioles sign 1B Ryan O'Hearn to a 1yr extension for $15m with a team option for the β27 season at $15m or a $2m buyout and move on from Mayo to get SP help. ππ
ππΌββοΈ A week ago Alcantara was at 53.2 and Mayo was at 27.2, are we in the buy low part of the season or are these two fading fast?
This seems like a good fit. Both players value has been falling, for whatever reason. O's need pitching. Fish need 3b.
That was Alcantara's number in the offseason, not "a week ago." It has been falling steadily week over week since then due to poor performance. Mayo's number has been falling due to downgrades from evaluators and a clock that's running out.
My sincere Apologies, youβre right, Alcantara was 53.2 on April 27th (3 weeks ago, not last week), 45.8 on the 28th, 33.3 on May 4th, 22 on the 9th. Mayo was 27.2 on April 26th (3 weeks ago, also not last week) and 26.1 on the 30th, 25.4 on May 6th, 22.3 on the 9th.
No worries! Maybe we should hire you to be our archivist.
I do wish it was easier to look up and follow
So yep, they're both fading fast. Alcantara is a buy-low if you believe he can right the ship. Many believe it's just a matter of shaking off the rust after his TJS, which is understandable. However, there are examples of guys who just never got it back after TJS (e.g., Noah Syndergaard), so there's a real possibility of that happening.
