I'll be blunt, I dont see Bazzana being available period.... Though I can see the merit in this move when it comes to the talent they are getting back.
I think McLain is a much better ball player than his value represents right now, Marte? meh. But I think both teams would benefit from this one. Once again, good job, Dajuba
Bazzana is still unproven at the MLB level. Mclain has had a slow start to the season because of an injury that kept him out all last year. He is starting to hit better as of late. IMO Mclain will be a star in this league, he has already proven he can hit at a sustained high level. Reds are trying to win now, no in a year or two. Taking away hitting is not going to happen, we need to add a power hitting OF, like yesterday.
Cleveland just drafted Bazzana as the first pick, they arent the type of organization to draft someone like that and listen to any offers on them... This isn't a bad deal for Cleveland, just not one they would do...
Oh you could very well be right, not saying your not but no way I make this trade from the Reds point of view even with a healthy Bazzana.
That's fair, I am not sure it would be better for the Red to swap both guys for Bazzana either. Cleveland's FO also has put a few players on essentially a no trade list when they were prospects... Lindor worked well... Espino... not so much yet, but it is what it is... I believe Bazzana and DeLauter are on that list
I can't see Cleveland even thinking about moving Bazzana...I really do not believe he is even available
I would imagine anyone is tradable for the right price.
Yeah, but I just can't see the Cleveland Brass moving Bazzana especially when he is injured. I dont see Bazzana being moved this season especially since no one has taken the 2B job... It be different if someone took the 2B job and was an All-star and even if they did let him become available knowing Clevelands notoriously bullish FO on certain prospects, he would be stupid high...
