I would give up way more than this for McLain, so I'm open to negotiation for sure. McLain's BABIP will rebound, he still has good speed, and he's above average defensively in CF, SS, and 2nd base. He's my CF for the rest of the year, and my SS next year. The Reds can use Lux at 3rd and Mead at 2b, or have Mead take over at 1st. Walls sucks, probable DFA if they can't trade him.
Works for me, even if McLain isn't much better than Walls this year. He has a brighter future than either Mead or Walls.
