5In a non-Miller trade scenario... the A's still need to improve their bullpen for now and next year. Bednar slots in the 8th to set-up Mason Miller. I think this Trade Value is Pittsburgh's dream scenario for this year's Deadline; I'm just making that dream come true today.
If the A's did this... first, I would believe it, and then I'd be pissed.
Where does Colby Thomas play?
You have to trade him, but for a reliever with essentially one year of control? They should be able to do better that that, don't you think?
Like what? A pre-Arb middle relief arm? Logan Allen (CLEV) is a pre-Arb #5 SP worth 14.6 TV; I think you'll be hard pressed to land team control and above-average production. So why not get a year and a half of potentially dominant production for a guy without a home on the A's roster?
