1Bird is an elite reliever. He won’t come cheap and this trade has the Rays sending the Rockies table scraps. If the Rays are serious about going for it this year, they will have to part with someone they don’t want to give up to get someone like Bird. Halvorsen can probably be acquired with players like Seymour, Mead and Martin though. He throws heat but the results aren’t there yet.
