4I think the Braves might have to toss in a sweetener here, but if you're looking for a crazy blockbuster. This might not happen until the off-season, but the Reds desperately need another superstar to pair with Elly. Acuna would be perfect for that. Burns would replace Greene in the rotation.
I like the trade a lot but the problem with it is Acuna injury history. Since he started playing in 2018 three of those seasons he played less than 100 games and this year only played so far 19 games and season is almost half over. Reds don't have the money to be taking those kinds of chances especially for a young cost controlled true SP ace. In the end I doubt the Reds would seriously make this trade but it sure would be fun to watch if Acuna could stay healthy.

Greene has never made 30 stats in a season due to health. Both players are elite when on the field. With Burns, Lowder, and Petty coming soon, I think the Reds can afford to take this chance. The money is about even. The Reds need another superstar of they're going to compete for a championship.
It's a tough call. I see your points. In the final analysis do the Reds have the guts to make this kind of gamble? Now I don't know about a championship this year but at least a playoff berth. Soon enough they are going to have to trade Elly.
