Down vote for the A's. Leclerc is probably covered by insurance, so Fisher probably isn't (too) worried about the money. I could see the A's having interest in one of Baty/Mauricio for 3B if Muncy flops, but not both. There was a proposal a few days back that included Tong and McLean; what do you think about on of those arms to go with the bat?

I don't think Stearns would be interested in moving on from either of McLean or Tong at this point, I think they are both too close to the Majors. Fair about not wanting both. I do think if Mauricio got a full offseason in the corner OF he would perform well there. One of these two guys barring a DFA of Winker/Marte will be in AAA once the bats are healthy, and it won't really be performance related, there is just no room

I've never been a believer in Mauricio but it almost seems like blowing out his knee did him some good. Corner OF isn't a need for the A's. They signed RF Lawrence Butler to an extension and Soderstrom is doing OK in his crash conversion from 1B/C to LF. With Rooker signed to an extension at DH and Kurtz hitting 9th inning bombs, 3B is the potential opening.
