2Down vote for the A's. I'm a fan of Wilyer Abreu but Rooker's RH bat adds needed balance to the A's line-up.
ππΌββοΈ Now that Devers has been traded, when Abreu is eligible to come off the IL (and there are hopefully π no unexpected injuries) the best move the Red Sox could make is to option both David Hamilton & Romy Gonzalez to AAA, call up Sogard and activate both Abreu & Yoshida (who the Red Sox now donβt need to play the Outfield, he can just be a lefty DH & pinch hitter off the bench) Sogard backs up/plays all infield spots off the bench. (And yes, Hamilton & Gonzalez both have 2 remaining options). And the Red Sox keep all of their Infield & Outfielder depth, and all the kids remain up gaining experience. π€ If Yoshida is still determined to not be ready you keep both of Gonzalez & Hamilton up & Sogard remains in AAA.
