(1) Rays don't trade players to the Yankees. (2) Rays are in both the division and wild card races right now and aren't trading one of their best players. (3) I don't think Flores has the defensive skill set the Rays look for in their catchers. If the Rays think he does, then swapping out Hall for a legit prospect might make the trade work for the Rays, but if he doesn't then this trade is a hard no. Rays say no either way though because of (1) and (2).
