4I almost think this is a little too much for the Yankees to give up for a 3B rental, but it’s going to be a very competitive market. Riggio has 14 homers in 40 MILB games this season, so he’s definitely been blooming, and a young pitching prospect in AA is immensely valuable for a team like the DBacks. But if the Cubs or another competitor in need make a solid offer, I guess it could work.
Yanks need more hitters like Bellinger in their lineup and less hitters like Suarez. Stack too many of these all-or-nothing type hitters in your lineup and you end up leading the majors in run differential (so you think you've constructed the offense well), but the reality is that you're blowing out the league's subpar pitching, but getting shut out against playoff quality arms. Even without Suarez right now, the Yankees win total is 5 games less than it should be, given their current run differential.
Yeah, package-wise, I think this is right in the ballpark of what it would take.
I agree that it's a lot, but I think, like what John said, this is the ballpark of what it have to take.
