5Bradley+Hopkins = Fair Trade. The Comp A makes it a Slight Overpay. I don't think the Rays would want to dip into their rotation to supercharge their line-up... but it would be rude not to offer the opportunity.
Nope... For reasons already discussed.
To me with TB getting new owners I'm more open to this type of trade cause Rooker is controllable through 2030 and hopefully they don't have to trade every player when they hit 7 figures anymore so they'd get 4.5 yrs of an impact hitter in his prime. This particular trade I wouldn't want to see, I'd be fine with Bradley, the draft pick, and a different 3rd piece or aweetening this deal with a 2nd player coming from Oakland, maybe a good BP arm, but if Stu finally sells it'd be great to get ownership where they could pick up players like Rooker if they wanted to go after him.
Asking for a good bullpen arm from Oakland means Mason Miller or... well... umm. If Hopkins is too rich, the other arms in the price range are Gary Gill Hill, Trevor Harrison (has the size/traits the A's like), or maybe Yoniel Curet if the stuff looks good in the Complex League.
Understood. Like I said, I didn't want the Rays to feel left out.
