💁🏼♀️ Ryan would be ideal, but he’s not being traded by the Twins. Duran is a great fit for the Padres, but the Red Sox are not trading him. The Twins wouldn’t consider this collection worthy of serious consideration for Ryan. 3 down votes and no Chicken Dinners. Yes, The Red Sox clearly need a #2 behind Crochet and it will come in free agency during the off season. Not in a Duran trade, leave it for the media pundits and the headline readers. Duran trades are going to receive down votes unless it make sense for the Red Sox which this trade proposal does not.
He may not get traded, but I can tell you, based off people I trust within the industry, that discussions have definitely been had and the Twins are open to it. Never say never.
The biggest reason Ryan will not be traded is he only makes $3m this year and is year two arbitration next year. Twins aren’t moving him.
Which is exactly why he has so much value. They’re not going to sign him long term, and they’re almost out of it. Again, talks have been ongoing. Always be open minded especially when you personally don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes.

My goodness 🤦🏻♀️😢😢😢 The Red Sox will trade Duran straight up for Ryan, but the Twins of course would never do that. So there your dilemma, no team is trading for Ethan Salas, Breslow just specifically had Kyle Harrison included in the Devers deal or there would have been no deal so he’s not getting traded as well. There is so much wrong in all of this for the Red Sox, you claim to be a fan but you can’t see it through your tunnel vision influenced by the headlines and your media aspirations. 🙏
