๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ Lars Nootbaar is on the IL due to a left costochondral sprain, the 27-year-old outfielder has been diagnosed with a sprain where his left rib meets cartilage. It certainly sounds like heโ€™ll require more than just a minimum stay on the injured list to resolve the issue. ๐Ÿ‘Ž

While Noot might not be back till mid August, last year's Dodger move o' the summer was picking up Tommy Edman who had wrist surgery & didn't return till Sept. Noot's metrics have always fascinated the Dodgers, both Conforto & Hernandez will be FAs while Noot has 2 years Arb left. Win/win

It seems like I've seen this proposal, or something close to it somewhere else?

What am I missing here? Nootbar's career hitting stats are barely above league average and this year he's below his career average. You have the Dodgers giving up 4 pitchers, including 2 really good young ones (Jackson and Ryan), for a league average outfielder and a reliever that we only get for a couple of months. As a Dodger fan I say no thanks, although I'll let you have Miller for nothing.
