Why not? He is blocked at the MLB level. So Who would you rather trade?
He’s not blocked, he’s Outfield depth for a playoff run. Next year Refsnyder is most likely gone. I think Duran could be traded in the offseason (or Abreu or….?) or maybe he is part of an offseason deal. But not now.
I hope the Red Sox get the best player traded at this years deadline, I’m hoping it’s a pitcher and preferably an SP but don’t care if it’s a bat/positional player, just the best player, don’t care about a rental or years of control or salary concerns in any way. I want the best player available to trade for at this years deadline. But, I’m also not willing to include any of the following; Anthony, Rafaela, Abreu, Duran, Navarez, Mayer, Bregman, Story, Crochet, Bello, Jhostynxon Garcia, Kristian Campbell. Everybody else is available to discuss.
