I have a running theory that you never win a 1 player target trade, particularly if you're the team trading the majority of the players. Even if you always took a lottery ticket high bb% low k% rate kid in the complex leagues in addition to the main target you need to continue to restock your system even as you trade out of it. The Yankees are so hilariously terrible at this that I am almost mad at my Dad for making me a fan of them.
