10Real Trade. McMahon seen as underwater but Yanks clearly disagree unless there's money being moved, which I don't think there is.
Awful trade for the Yankees. Especially with us taking on the whole contract.
Hot garbage - welcome to Joey Gallo 2.0, and the Yankees are on the hook for the remaining 2 years, $16m of his contract. This team won't win again until Cashman is gone.
Right, they're on the hook for the remaining $36M -- which, for a guy who's never hit above average, and costs even more when you factor in the luxury tax overage hit, is a choice.
Is there any chance this is a money laundering operation?
I like the trade. Solid left-handed bat and plays great defense at third. And the Yankees got him for scraps.
He is a well below league average bat.
Dude has to be one of the most overrated players of the last 10 years or so
I love Cashman. I hope the Yankees give him a 20 year extension.
Agreed. His home/away splits are horrific, especially relative to that contract, but maybe the Yankees think he'll benefit from the short porch. At least he's a defensive upgrade.
