1With all the injuries the Diamondbacks have to their pitching staff, this is an interesting trade. As much as they don't want to lose Lawler, he's blocked at the MLB level. Lucas Braun is the meat of the Braves offer, as he's a stellar AA prospect, slowly climbing the leader-board in the Braves' farm system. Adding Dodd and Vines to this trade gives the D-backs a couple of low-risk starters to throw at the injury problem. If they don't work out initially, they have the ability to be sent back down. Both have MLB experience, both as starters and in the pen, so they could be used until reinforcements arrive.
