The Royals could be looking to add stability to their rotation after dealing with injuries, and JP Sears has been drawing interest. The Athletics receive two position player prospects. After taking a quick look at the A's system, it appears to be a bit pitcher-heavy, and the Royals seem to have more surplus in position player prospects they're willing to move than pitchers. In this market, an overpay seems realistic.
