Bucs do not even listen to a proposal for Skenes unless it is led by Roman Anthony.
There are teams that can offer a better package than this.
No there are not… no team in baseball has the prospect depth that the sox do, let alone MLB ready prospects. This deal makes PIT an immediate and long term contender. Right now, even with the best pitcher on the planet, they are going nowhere. Especially because they will not extend him in any reality
How do you know the Pirates will not extend him? Do you have first hand knowledge of what goes on in the Pirates organization? Are you brainwashing them?
Do you seriously think Skenes would re-up with the Pirates even if they made a competitive offer? They have wasted the first two years of his career playing last place ball. They will waste whatever time they have with him. He is not signing up for that. Just as you think there are better prospect packages available for the Pirates, there are better team situations for the player. Enjoy him while you have him. He will be traded at some point, and I doubt the package is better than this one.
Seriously, all 6 of these Sox players are major league ready? You folks are behind a proposal that has a chronically hurt Red Sox player, another who is on the IL, prospects that are unproven or overhyped and others whose potential is highly questionable. Just because they are Red Sox prospects does not mean that they will become even solid average major leaguers. And yet, you believe that the Pirates will just hand over a generational talent in Paul Skenes for this basket of question marks. If these Red Sox players are so great, the Sox should hold on to them and build their dynasty.

Are you sure? This offers 3/4 of a pretty high quality major league infield, a good outfield prospect, as well as 2 young pitchers with high upside. The Pirates will NEVER sign Paul Skenes to stay a day longer than he has to, and this offers over 50 years of team control to the Pirates.

Red Sox trade Anthony for no one. Bucs going nowhere with only Paul Skenes, they need an influx of young MLB ready talent to jumpstart a full rebuild. If the Bucs were looking for Anthony in this proposal, theyd at most only receive an additional mid-tier prospects. Not logical
