So they should give him away for nothing? I'm sure if they move a 30 HR, LH 2B they could do easily better than Cabrera, with new ownership its not a guarantee they have to move him either
that's why this site exists. per the model they can't do better. He has negative value
With the Pirates catching depth they could easily find a trade for B Lowe with it or with their young starting pitching depth
Lowe has a team option for next year, so if saving money is the Rays’ primary motivation for this trade, they could choose not to exercise the option. I agree with CC, Cabrera doesn’t do anything for the Rays. Also, Bitsko was released by the Rays over the summer.
