5This is a good package for Skubal not for Joe Ryan
Seems like the Twins could target higher ceiling prospects for Ryan. The first prospect Mets fans are so quick to offer up is Jett Williams and how dare anyone not worship the ground he walks on but if he can walk on water then why do you offer him up in literally every trade for any player?
Because he has high value while the Mets have other good options (including Lindor, obviously) that can play his positions.

The sim would probably decline the trade if it was for Skubal. He's like 56 value
What are you talking about? The values are clearly within range. The Twins get back a solid arm in return which I think would be the preferable option for the Mets to give up, a versatile player in Jett, and a good power upside bat in Reimer. Not sure what the issue is here.
