This trade does a whole lot for each team. Phillies get a TOR ace for a bargain for one year and the ability to negotiate a long term contract exclusively for that year. If they sign either Bregman or Tucker, then they might have the ability to overtake the Dodgers finally. Dodgers get a very good long term inexpensive replacement for Rojas at 2nd with the ability to also play 3rd and 1st in case of injuries, and an outstanding defensive CF to allow Pages to shift to LF until De Paula is ready and then they might have to move on from T Hernandez. This move adds replacements long term for K. Hernadez and Rojas and hardly impacts their salary total at all. The Tigers get a true replacement at 3rd in Miller probably for Keith, River Ryan to fill the SP vacancy left by Skubal, a LHP for the back end of their bull pen, a very nice LH SP prospect, a speedy CF possiblity in Crawford to hit at the top of the lineup, a RH OF in Sirota in 2027. It could work out nicely for everyone.
