Where is Stowers playing? Cleveland has LF taken, and RF Cleveland essentially has said they want to leave open for their prospects... I could see a Allen for Stowers swap IF Kwan is traded, but otherwise the deal for Stowers doesn't make any sense...

I am reticent to assume full health/production for Valera/CDL. I hope they can play 150 each, but I am skeptical. this gives them another OF option, albeit LH which is not optimal

I feel like if we trade Kwan, I could see this deal, but outside of that, I just really cannot see it...

Wait, you're saying that a guy that slashed 288/368/544/912 with 21 2B, 25 HR and an OPS+ of 149 only fits in Cleveland if they trade Kwan? I'd give Kwan and a good prospect for that kind of production, and if I were a Marlins' fan I'd be questioning Stowers' value here. Maybe this is the third team that makes a Guardians/Dodgers trade feasible?

Stowers has always been a negative fielder, though he did get better in 25... His best position is LF, even though his best asset is a plus arm. Next factor is the fact, Cleveland right now cannot afford to move any of their current SPs... Their depth isn't as good as you project it be, so if Kwan is dealt, getting a SP back in return, then we can make this deal. Two other factors with Stowers, one, he's had only one season of production and three seasons of being shuttled between AAA and the minors. Second factor is the roster is full of LH hitters that can play COF and another who had so-so numbers against lefties... If we keep Kwan, Stowers is in RF, then we have no need for Valera, Jones, while Noel, JRod also have no roster spot. I am not saying we shouldn't trade for Stowers, but we need to find a package that doesn't include one of our 8 SPs as a main piece. Also, Marlins are good at developing pitching, so they have a much greater need for hitting, so I could see them wanting more of a Chourio, Velazquez and Oakie type of return in a sense...
