3Down vote for the A's. I think they'll focus on a short term upgrade (like Singer) rather than pay the higher price for a controllable arm like Abbott. Personally, I wouldn't trade Soderstrom for Abbott straight up.
Grov, yesterday you wrote this: "If I saw a headline that said the A's traded Soderstrom to the Reds then my hope would be that Abbott was the arm coming back to Sacramento..."
I did. When wisdom fails, hope is all that's left. I think Soderstrom for Abbott would be a bad trade for the A's. My hope would be for the least bad trade possible.
