Sonny always thought he looked sharp in Green & Gold and agrees to waive his NTC to play for the A's. St. Louis sends $5 MM to pay down his '26 salary and will cover the '27 buy-out if the A's activate it. Waldichuk has 4 years of control and minor league options remaining; St. Louis frees up payroll and see what they can do now that's he's had a full offseason after recovering form TJS. They also take a flier on Angeles because they expect to shop infielders.
