Mariners add an impact bat to their lineup with positional flexibility and two years of team control. M's likely to lose Suarez in free agency, Donovan has 270 big league innings at third and has graded as a career 6 DRS / 3 OAA player there. The Cardinals add a big-league pitcher in Hancock, who is the odd man out right now in the Seattle rotation. A former Top 100 prospect who may just need a change of scenery has the pitch-mix to succeed. Cards land a current Top 100 prospect in Farmelo, which diversifies their farm. They also add two promising prospects in McGraw and Becker, who are just outside the top ten prospects for Seattle, but would likely be top ten prospects for St. Louis due to how deep Seattle's farm is. McGraw has struggled to stay healthy, but has good strikeout numbers and has an above-average walk rate. Could transition to a reliever to stay healthy and fly through the minor leagues. Becker was the M's second-round pick in 2025, but has a lot of shortstop prospects ahead of him. He could deepen the Cards' farm.
