The Guardians FO is so weird since national media isn't allowed to scout their players outside of public games and even their employees have to stay tight lipped. MLBs, baseball America, fangraphs etc, their prospect rankings are usually way off... high probability of Cleveland has both of these guys internally ranked higher than BTV... Then on the flip side, from the rumor mill, Diaz was someone Cleveland didnt want to keep for some reason. I think it would be odd to get him back now, especially with them having Manzardo and Kayfus that can play 1B plus having Fry, Brito and Noel that also play 1B... If Yandy could play CF or SS it would be a different matter. I actually think Velazquez is available for Cleveland, but not Doughty unless its an All-star with team control that plays SS/CF back in the return. Cleveland has a price point on all their players, and its definitely different than BTV has... Doughty they spent so much money on in the draft to get, so I am doubting he is going to be honestly available.
I get it. I’m not arguing the merits of the trade from Cleveland’s standpoint. Just having a little fun.
Fair enough! This FO has earned the benefit of the doubt, but it doesn't mean I actually like all the decisions they make... Heck most of my posts state how I think they will react to a trade, not what I want. As a lover of OOTP and one who loves to make trades, I could make a million trades that Cleveland's FO would never do lol
