TB seems to think Reifert has the plaque or something so might as well get something out of him before they lose him to rule 5 again.

That but also TB treats any reliever they draft as the redheaded step child and every 28 yo A ball reliever as the golden pony, other than Montgomery they don't really get a chance, before I think it was Poche? No room for Reifert and his 54 k's in 30 innings to keep working on his control but we got plenty of room for junkballers like Kelly and Sulser though, almost 2 k's per inning at AAA seems like a special project I'd want to keep instead of losing him for nothing in the draft.
He walks nearly 15% of batter in the minors. That number could be much worse in the Majors. I would have liked to see the Rays give him a chance in a down 2025 but they didn’t and that’s speaks volumes. He’s not in their long term plans.
The walk rate is really high but we've seen guys turn it around with mlb coaching before and losing a guy with that much strike out potential is hard to see, my biggest issue is it's not like they have a stacked roster and he got squeezed out, I'd be really shocked if Kelly and Sulser hang onto their spots at that price, Rock doesn't really have any upside, he's fighting for the same role as Seymour who's the better pitcher, Rodriguez is hurt and will miss a lot of time, there's easily 5 guys that wouldn't be missed, if it was down to Rock vs Reifert for a roster spot at AAA I'd pick Reifert
