Let's see if there's any money going from New York to Texas.
As a Mets fan, this hurts me since Nimmo has been around since HS but as a baseball fan. I like this trade. Mets needed to improve defense and free up two years of a contract to an aging eventual DH that has a chronic foot injury. I will love this move if they parlay this with a trade for Steven Kwan or signing of Cody Bellinger.
ππΌββοΈ Rangers save $5.5m in β26 & β27 and itβs a wash in β28 but they add on two additional years at $20m per. Is Nimmo a DH going forward? And, iβm kinda surprised he waived his no trade.
