Rangers offload some salary on the books to fill out the roster other places. Moving Seager gives them a chance to also play Walcott at SS in 2026. In return they get Sean Murphy who has shown when his hip is healthy he’s a great catcher offensively and defensively, the hip has been repaired and he should be good to go at the top of the season. Rangers also get a couple of highly rated pitching prospects in Fuentes and Owen Murphy. Daysbel is a middle relief option that’s not overly expensive. While Joey Wentz is somewhat of a wild card. He can start or be a reliever. For the Braves, it’s simple. Seagers bat is an instant upgrade. Dubon will allow him to DH and they not lose a good glove in the field. His bat should age solid as a DH only player in a few years.
