2I'm not sure how to work out this deal on here so I'm typing it out, Crowenworth and B Lowe deals pretty much are the same for 2026 so that cancels out but Jake would still be owed around $50M for 2027-2031, my idea would be SD add $15M-20M to lower his salary for those years to the range of $6M-8M but SD still saves over $30M giving them some payroll flexibility during that time, also he wasn't listed on the site but Tucker Musgrove would also be going to TB in the deal, so SD saves money long term while adding a 30 HR 2B/DH for 2026 while TB gets a catcher, utility player, and a prospect.
💁🏼♀️ The Padres are for sale and Preller is in the last year of his contract. I don’t think trading for the often injured and completely unreliable Brandon Lowe would be advisable.
