I cannot fathom how Salas is still viewed as a top prospect or has more than $2MM in trade value. The dude can’t hit, and that’s somewhat important.

I fully expected him to be downgraded by BA in their latest update, but he wasn't. Go figure. He does still have the young-for-the-level card, but that won't last that much longer. This is one case where we're letting the experts do their job, despite our own views.
He doesn’t need to be protected until ‘27, I think he needs a full season of health to be evaluated, it’s no big deal if he’s 5yrs away from debuting (he won’t be 20yr until June), but it is curious that he’s still holding a pretty nice value.
He missed a lot of time last year. I’m sure that has given cover to stubborn BA, which is slowwwww to move off their first impression views.
