Cleveland just put a first round pick into a need in LaViolette, they won't be trading him for a guy who cannot hit HRs... Meyers would be a 4th OF in Cleveland not a starter...

Oddly enough, Laviolette might be worth exponentially more or the exact opposite. We just don't know yet. His value here is low enough that taking the chance is worth more than dealing him for similar value. Meyers doesn't move the needle for Cleveland so this deal is an easy no. At no point in time will Meyers garner you a first round pick.
