5Guardians would block the Dodgers if they offered this one... This is a horrible deal for Cleveland right now... They are a playoff team... This isn't a trade a playoff team would even consider...
This is a rebuilding type of trade. Either of these teams seem like they're rebuilding? The lack of logic in some of these trades is amazing. At least offer an explanation to discuss.
This also demonstrates how "off" these values can be. There is no way 2 prospects get you 2 all-star caliber players. It's absurd and will never happen.
That's not true at all.
I mean, he does have a point in a sense of the fact Cleveland isn't after prospects right now, so the value of a prospect isn't going to be the same to them as a MLB guy with control would be. De Paula won't be MLB ready until late 27/spring 28... Cleveland's not going to value him greater than Smith, yet on here his value is greater than Smith's. Sadly there is no way to adjust values based on what teams needs are sadly. Plus this is just for fun/general idea of the value of players.
