Can he play CF competently grover?
He's a better CF than Brito is a 2B but at best, he's comparable to a healthy Lane Thomas. You can play Colby in CF vs. a LHSP but you'd prefer a better defender vs. RHSP and in the late innings.
Yeah Brito is no 2B and it sounds like Thomas should only play CF in desperate times. Hard to find a good match these days. My guess is that Cleveland would just sign Lane Thomas to a 1 yr prove it type deal before giving up a good hitter like Brito.
Makes sense... provided they're willing to give Brito playing time. I prefer Thomas as trade bait for an arm but trade bait seems his primary role for 2026.
